We rely so much on digital information in our work, leisure and society, how could we survive if it were lost? What are the real threats?

PARSE.Insight, an EU FP7 project, has created a roadmap, based on evidence from surveys and detailed case studies. The surveys attracted thousands of responses, from around the world and across many fields of science. From these we can see what the researchers, data holders, publishers and funders think about the importance of their data and the threats to it.

There is profound agreement on these threats. The PARSE.Insight roadmap provides guidance on the solutions, as part of the broader e-Infrastructure, to these threats and also to the social, organisational and policy support which will be required.
