Overview of preservation<br \/>\n2. Managing and preserving your data. Why and How?<br \/>\n3. How valuable are your digital assets? (Community driven)<br \/>\n4. Preparing your organisation for an ISO 16363 audit &#8211; is your repository trustworthy?<br \/>\n5. Digital rights and access management &#8211; do digital rights allow for access to your digital assets?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two-day clinics or workshops<\/strong> allow practitioners to meet with experts to resolve their issues. These are based upon the following:<\/p>\n<p>1. Data management plans<br \/>\n2. Internal auditor training<br \/>\n3. Digital rights and access management<br \/>\n4. Countering threats to digital preservation<br \/>\n5. Preserving data<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>5-day summer school and workshop<\/strong> covers:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; data preservation (common vision, OAIS, preservation techniques)<br \/>\n&#8211; services and technologies (SCIDIP-ES, storage, scalability)<br \/>\n&#8211; organisational issues and governance (including cost models, value and business cases)<\/p>\n<p>It includes practical examples, case studies and course work<br \/>\nFormat: residential, 5 days, lectures, discussions and practical group work<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Training Events<\/strong> menu on the right provides details of current as well as previous courses.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>On-Line Courses<\/strong> menu on the right currently provides introductory course material.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Formal Qualifications<\/strong> menu on the right provides a database of<br \/>\nopportunities available.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Training Materials<\/strong> menu on the right provides traininig resources from a number of different sources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre of Excellence offers face to face training events, workshops and clinics, as well as a summer school.
