The Alliance for Permanent Access’s aim is to foster the development of an ecosystem of trusted digital repositories to enable Europe to fully exploit the potential of European scientific collaboration. The (permanent) accessibility, quality assurance and preservation of key data collections are and will be one of the major driving forces for the advancement of science but also for applications thereof. Therefore, the theme of the 2009 Annual Conference was:
